BLESSING FACTS

Luke 6:38 - Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Most of us want to be a blessing to others, as we should if the love of God dwells in our hearts.

In fact you note many times in scripture God requests us to do so, not as a casual thought, but as a command for us His people.  Did you know there are facts or laws of blessing?  Here they are if you did not know about them.

1.  God's blessing to us should flow to others.   Note this truth in Genesis 12:2 ...I will bless you; and you will be a blessing.

This is what God told Abraham and his children.  In other words God does not send a blessing into our laps so that we can feel good, be happy or comfortable, but so that we can pass it on and use it also to be a blessing to others. So remember fact or law 1, God's blessing must flow outward and bless others.

2.  When we bless others, God will take care of our needs.  Read today's insight scripture again.  There is almost nothing that God won't do for us who really want to help others.  In fact it clearly say what in our insight verse?  "For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

3.  Our blessing echoes back to us. Again today's insight verse says this in plain black and white truth.  There is no way you and I can out give our God.  To make it humorous God is saying "how about we play a little game, let's see who wins.  let's see who can out give the other.  The more you bless others the more I am going to bless you." 

4.  The more God blesses me, the more He expects me to bless and help others.  Here is what Luke 12:48 spells out in truth,... From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Yes, the more generous we are, with what God has given us the more we will see God blessing us in return.

Now, I do not bless others to get bless, but because of the love of God in my heart, and to be obedient to what he requests, and or requires of me in His truth the word of God.
